Q: Where does my data go?
A: Everything stays on your device by default. If you opt in to iCloud sync, data syncs via your private iCloud account — the developer cannot access any of it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Q: Can I use it offline?
A: Yes. Once dictionaries are imported or fully synced via iCloud, the app works fully offline.
Q: How do I import my own dictionaries?
A: OpenMDict has a built-in import flow that guides you through the process. Check out the New User Guide (tutorials) inside the app for step-by-step instructions on importing .mdx/.mdd files and managing resources.
Q: How do I delete my data and reset the app?
A: Go to the Management section in the app, open iCloud Troubleshooting, and use the “Clear Data & Reset App” option.
